CNN —It seems like there’s nothing Nigerian music star Simi can’t do. A singer, songwriter, and one of the few women mixing and producing their own music, Simi is setting the stage for the future of Afropop and soul. Opening for 15-time Grammy-winning vocal powerhouse Alicia Keys on her 2023 tour and making waves on the Billboard World Album Charts has garnered Simi international stardom. Simi, whose real name is Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, began her career as a gospel singer, releasing her first album “Ogaju” in 2008. She followed up with her second studio album, “Simisola,” which peaked at No.

Even though I love it, the cool fuchsia kind of makes me look sickly. For example, olive green (warm) vs. emerald green (cool) or pastel pink (cool) vs. coral pink (warm). Your job is to figure out which colors look better. Since there are no warm versions of fuchsia or cool versions of orange, those are two of the best colors to try on. When I look at photos of myself wearing fuchsia now, I seem washed out — especially compared to myself in orange.

With fighting still raging in Ukraine, and a front line that has barely shifted in more than a year, the country’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, headed on Tuesday to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, amid a swirl of diplomatic discussions about possible peace talks. In his speech, he promoted a Ukrainian peace plan and called for stiffer sanctions on Russia. But in a contrast with his comments to the forum last year, Mr. Zelensky made no direct appeals for weaponry for new offensives on the battlefield. “We need you in Ukraine to build, to reconstruct, to restore our lives,” he told the audience of investors. “Each of you can be even more successful with Ukraine.”

“Russia believes that the world will grow weary and allow it to brutalize Ukraine without consequence,” Mr. Biden said as President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine watched from the audience. I respectfully suggest the answer is no.”“We have to stand up to this naked aggression today to deter other would-be aggressors tomorrow,” Mr. Biden continued. “Ask Prigozhin if one bets on Putin’s promises.”Both Mr. Biden and Mr. Zelensky received strong applause from some of the delegations in the hall, but many others did not clap. G7 members - the United States, Japan, Germany, France, Britain, Italy and Canada - are grappling with the immense challenges posed by Russia's invasion of Ukraine and tensions with China, notably over Taiwan and economic security. The communique was issued shortly after the French government aircraft that brought Zelenskiy to Hiroshima touched down. Zelenskiy will receive a hero's welcome during the closing day of the G7 summit hosted in Hiroshima, Japan, where leaders debated how to respond to a conflict that many expect only to escalate after nearly 15 months of fighting. On Sunday, Japan and South Korea, two of China's wealthiest neighbours, will highlight their improved ties with a joint meeting. But Zelenskiy has pushed the countries to go further on both economic and military measures. "Important meetings with partners and friends of Ukraine," Zelenskiy said on Twitter as he arrived in Hiroshima.

[1/5] Allen Howard Weisselberg, the former Trump Organization CFO, appears for sentencing for tax fraud scheme in New York State Supreme Court in the Manhattan borough of New York City, U.S., January 10, 2023. Weisselberg, 75, is expected to be sent to New York's notorious Rikers Island jail. Though no longer CFO, Weisselberg remains on paid leave from the Trump Organization. The jail time will probably not be easy for Weisselberg, at a facility known for violence, drugs and corruption. Weisselberg testified that Trump signed bonus and tuition checks, and other documents at the heart of prosecutors' case, but was not in on the tax fraud scheme.
Top Trump money man Allen Weisselberg sentenced to five months in Trump Org tax-dodge scheme. He testified in a monthlong tax crimes trial against the Trump Organization, which was found guilty. The former Trump Organization chief financial officer had overseen a decade-long scheme that allowed top executives to dodge hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes. Along with charges against Weisselberg, the Manhattan district attorney's office brought charges against the Trump Corporation and the Trump Payroll Corporation, two of the entities that comprise the Trump Organization. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a daring visit to Washington, DC on Wednesday. Along with his message to the US, Zelenskyy brought his signature look: an olive green fleece sweater. The Ukrainian president also shared a special message of praise with Biden from a Ukrainian soldier and requested further aid from Congress. And as he delivered the speech, he was sporting another M-TAC sweater, the US clothing company that makes Zelenskyy's signature olive green fleece sweaters. "I loved the fashion choices," Gaetz said, according to The Dispatch, which added that his position on Ukraine aid was not swayed.
M-TAC launched in 2005 selling airsoft guns and accessories and started a clothing brand in 2014. An M-TAC manager previously told Insider that Zelenskyy's olive green fleece was out of stock. Per the company's website, M-TAC has more than 50 suppliers in 15 countries of the world. Since Russia first invaded Ukraine, M-TAC has seen demand soar for Zelenskyy's fleece jacket, Taras Rudnytskyi, the Ukrainian manager of US operations for the company, previously told Insider. "We hope to restock it someday, maybe after our victory," Rudnytskyi told Insider in May, adding that hostilities have made it difficult to continue any type of production.
Some hardline Republicans have even urged an end to aid and an audit to trace how allocated money has been spent. The world is too interconnected to allow any country to stand aside and feel safe, Zelenskiy said as he appealed for bipartisan support. The United States also announced another $1.85 billion in military aid for Ukraine, including a Patriot air defence system to help it ward off barrages of Russian missiles. "We would like to get more Patriots ... we are in war," Zelenskiy told reporters at the White House. White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said Washington was seeing no sign that Russian President Vladimir Putin was willing to engage in peacemaking.
